MEET SCOTT RYNO
Scott has spent 39+ years in Fire and EMS volunteer and career positions. He has served as a provider (Firefighter/EMT), educator/instructor, Senior Administrator, and Chief Officer. Scott currently serves as the Fire Chief (volunteer) at Columbia Borough Fire Department in Lancaster County, PA as well as a Battalion Chief (career) at York Area United Fire & Rescue in York County, PA. In addition, Scott teaches programs through the PA Department of Health (EMT and EMR), and maintains instructor credentials through the American Heart Association and American Red Cross.
As a Fire/EMS Consultant for the past 20+ years, Scott has aided Fire and EMS companies and local government officials, and performed county-wide Fire/EMS system analysis for county government. Scott has been an industry-recognized professional grant writer for the past 20+ years, assisting Fire and EMS companies in securing millions of dollars in grant funds to purchase equipment and fund volunteer recruitment and retention activities. Over the course of a 39-year career, Scott has received numerous local, county, and state awards including award for valor at the county and state level.
